Firewall Administrator

On behalf of our client in here in Vancouver,
** Ignite Technical Resources **is looking for an
**IT Firewall Administrator **for a
**contract opportunity.**
**Responsibilities**:
- Implement / change firewall, proxy IDS/IPS rules
- Work with customers / vendors to troubleshoot project related firewall, proxy and IDS/IPS issues
- Update project / operational documentation and progress production change requests as required for firewall and zoning related activities
**Qualifications**:
- A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a university degree or technical diploma in a Computer Science program, plus related certifications, and at least four (4) years of recent experience implementing / supporting firewall rules, active directory, and DNS in a large, complex corporate environment with multiple data centers.
**Skills and Abilities**:
- Strong understanding of logical network and firewalling principles
- Strong operational knowledge of Fortinet/Palo Alto/Cisco Firewalls, F5 LTM, and Microsoft ISA/TMG
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self-directed, highly motivated, and results-oriented
- Good communication, customer interaction, and organizational skills
- Ability to work on multiple concurrent projects and multi-task
- Team player with well-developed interpersonal skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Office
- CCNA or equivalent certification is preferred
