Nomi Resort Nordic Spa offers a great destination for guests, travellers and members, with an expanding space that will feature 4 outdoor Nordic spas, outdoor lounge and fire spaces, steam room and sauna and glass decking space that is elevated in a luxury outdoor escape surrounded by the forest. As we grow, our existing spas and hydrotherapy space requests a knowledgeable experienced Pool/Spa Operator that can ensure the guest experience is not only exceptional but safe.

Nomi Resort is a 40,000-square-foot wellness resort located in the County of Haliburton, offering a mix of luxury recreational cottage units, a Condo-Resort, and future loft villa development. The resort features the 8FIFTY LOUNGE and LANDS8FIFTY restaurant, with amenities like a future infinity pool, hot tub, sauna spaces, fitness studios, and access to the shoreline waterfront and trails. Nomi Resort aims to provide a tranquil and natural escape from modern life, focusing on wellness and rejuvenation. Currently, it’s set to offer its latest rejuvenating amenity; its nordic spa escape - offering outdoor spas in a beautify outdoor setting where true hydrotherapy can be achieved.

The Role

The Pool Operator will be responsible for water quality and maintenance of the Nordic baths in order to obtain superior quality facilities that meet the needs of our clientele, and achieve health and safety through ongoing testing, balancing and quality of care of the systems.

**Management Activities: planning, organization and control**
- Assist in ensuring the cleanliness of all spa amenities and spaces;
- Ensure the proper operation of pool systems (filtration, heating, air conditioning, controls, etc.) and maintain preventive maintenance;
- Carry out the required calibration, adjustment, modification and programming of the various pool controls;
- Carry out a daily verification of the equipment and installations of the water pools (pressures, filters, lights, temperatures, water, oil, chemical and cleaning product levels, etc.);
- Maintain record keeping of the following: Daily Spa Chemical Log, Chlorination Worksheets, Daily Opening and Closing Checklists, Preventative Maintenance Checklist and maintaining other Health and Safety Logs.

**Profile needed**

**What is the profile needed in order to be successful in this position**
- **Must have a Certified Pool Operator (CPO) accreditation**:

- Ability to properly use maintenance equipment and tools;
- Must be able to do manual and technical work
- Spa Knowledge would be an asset
- 2 +years experience operating pools
- Knowledge of maintenance techniques and work safety procedures;
- Ability to do manual and technical work;
- Two (2) years experience in the field of water treatment
- Occupational Health and Safety and WHMIS training, would be assets;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
- Good physical condition: ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23kg), ability to work in a noisy, hot and/or cold outdoor environment and long hours standing.
- Other tasks include taking inventory, cleaning surface areas and maintenance rooms
- High School Diploma + work experience

Work schedule will be weekdays and weekends

Pay: $24.30-$30.00 per hour
