**WE ARE LOOKING FOR EXPERIENCED EXCAVATOR OPERATORS**

The Excavator Operator works with ground personnel in the excavation and installation process of laying pipe on line and grade.

The Excavator Operator is responsible for conducting all functions of their job responsibility in a safe and appropriate manner; maintaining equipment in a clean and secure manner.

Main Functions:

- Conduct pre-trip safety inspections, maintenance checks and completes daily field level hazard assessment for all activities.
- Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner according to all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Solid understanding of OH&S legislation pertaining to construction.
- Keep equipment clean as scheduled (or as required)
- Ensure equipment is safely and securely stored
- Advise the Fleet team of any requirements for maintenance or repairs
- Participate in routine maintenance
- Demonstrate workplace safety everyday
- Maintain inventory of equipment
- Excavate around utilities and mains
- Fine grading and finishing

Minimum Requirements
- Great degree of manual dexterity
- Able to interpret and execute complex instructions
- Experience (training) in Heavy Equipment Operations
- Can clearly communicate in written and verbal
- Ground Disturbance Level 2
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple and changing Priorities
- Detail oriented
- Strong drive to complete assigned task and projects
- High integrity
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel
