**Overview**
**Responsibilities**
- Set up and operate manual lathes and milling machines to produce high-quality components as per specifications.
- Capable of holding tight tolerances
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining requirements.
- Employ hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments like micrometers and calipers to ensure accuracy in machining tasks.
- Document and report inspection data, deviations, and completed work in accordance with company and industry standards.
- Conduct assembly tasks as required, ensuring all components fit together correctly.
- Perform basic maintenance on machines and tools to ensure reliability and safe operation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment following lean manufacturing principles.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve manufacturing processes.
- Adhere to safety protocols while operating machinery and handling materials.
- Comply with all company safety policies, procedures, and legislation, including participation in regular safety training.
**Skills**
- Proficient in drill press, milling machines and lathes.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic math calculations relevant to machining tasks.
- Experience with blueprint reading and understanding technical specifications.
- Knowledge of manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency in production processes.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and forklifts safely and effectively.
- Welding skills are a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
