Job Title: Purchasing Manager
permanent
Salary Range: $58 - $62
Working hour: 10:00am - 4:00pm, Monday - Friday
Work location: 315 Batavia Place, Waterloo, ON N2L 3W1

Responsibilities & Duties
- Plan, organize and manage all purchasing activities on a day-to-day basis for the Company;
- Establish and implement policies and procedures to control the overall performance of procurement;
- Periodically evaluate the existing vendors and suppliers for the material list, as well as identify potential suppliers to maintain the cost-effectiveness;
- Evaluate all the existing procurement contracts and monitor all on-going contract negotiations initiated by the Company;
- Initiate discussions with company management and refine the existing material list to be fulfilled
- Maintain the budget control over all purchasing activities;
- Review and process claims and propose feasible solutions;
- Lead, guide and provide training to the procurement team to ensure quality of purchasing activities.

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary certificate or diploma in the related field is required
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in procurement in retail
- Experience in furniture, home decorations, or related fields is preferred
- Willing to work shifts during weekends
- Understanding of retail finance and budget process and key performance indicators
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to motivate and lead a team

**Salary**: $58.00-$62.00 per hour
