Position Summary

**Responsibilities**:

- Verify that healthcare providers are properly attired and professional in appearance and manner.
- Provide N95 Mask Fit Testing (scheduling and testing)
- Evaluate and provide verbal and written feedback to healthcare providers and documents in their personnel profile.
- Assist with completing probationary reviews for new hires and assist with completing annual healthcare provider performance reviews and engages branch region director of client services as needed in coordination with existing healthcare client service team.
- Liaise with healthcare providers to obtain feedback on assignments, quality improvement and risk management issues and learning needs.
- Write, review, and update policy and procedures related to the healthcare staff supervisor role
- Participate in weekly local leadership meetings, healthcare staff supervisor meetings, and other Carecor meetings as required
- Contributes to other projects within Carecor, including quality improvement initiatives and Accreditation Canada audits.

Job Qualification

Job Qualifications
- Personal Support Worker (PSW)/ Continuing Care Assistant (CCA) or equivalent certificate, or an Internationally Educated Nurse (IEN) working as a PSW or Care Team Assistant (CTA) with plans to stay in practice.
- Minimum of 1-year experience working in an acute care hospital on a medical or surgical unit.
- Strong clinical and training skills - previous supervisory and/or training experience with healthcare providers an asset.
- Ability to use MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Strong communication skills, outgoing personality, strong conflict resolution skills
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current N95 Mask Fit Test Certificate
- Proof of current immunization for measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella (MMRV)
- Proof of negative TB skin test within the past year or negative chest x-ray within the past 5 years
- Willing to undergo Vulnerable Sector Police Check as a condition of hire

Please note that based on recent government mandates and directives, healthcare workers are now required to provide proof of full COVID-19 Vaccination. If successful, new hires will be required to provide proof of vaccination prior to their start date.
