**Responsibilities**:
Provide personal support, coach & mentor 47 year old male intellectually challenged with autism approx 10 - 20 hours per week - evenings & weekends inside & outside the home. Assist in aspects of daily living such as personal care. Create/oversee & participate in activities & recreation programs. Provide guidance & support especially through behavioral challenges. Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behavior. Provide support in accessing community resources and participating in social activities

**Job Requirements**
- Completion of high school, post secondary education & related experience
- One year experience providing support & care to challenged individuals preferred
- Able to support & coach individual in sports activities

**Qualifications & Skills**

Effective interpersonal skills, emotional maturity, flexible, communicative, motivated, reliable, responsible, observant, quick thinking/fast acting, multi task, empathy, compassion, patient, structured

Understanding & assertive with an outgoing personality as well as ability to communicate, organize & plan

Ability to support individual in various situations

Eagerness to have a positive effect on the client. A strong commitment to support & promote needs & skills

Must provide proof of current criminal/sexual/vulnerability/abuse check

Must provide proof of COVID vaccination

Non smoker

Salary $16 per hour

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $15.00-$22.95 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
