Unit 93 is a 30-bed inpatient unit, with 4 surge beds, that care for voluntary and formal patients with addictions and mental health concerns. The unit is staffed with Registered Nurses, Registered Psychiatric Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Unit Clerks. The unit is supported by Occupational Therapists, Recreation Therapists, Psychologists, Psychometrist, Addiction Counselor, Secretary III, Health Care Aides, and Psychiatrists. This unit has 38 direct reports. The staff hired into the casual/float pool work on Units 17, 91, 92, and 93. This position is non-unionized.

**Required Qualifications**:
Graduate of Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse Program and currently registered with a regulatory body. Strong leadership skills and ability to provide instruction and direction related to best practice in Addiction and Mental Health. Must be able to demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and support with conflict resolution. Expertise in effective change management, quality improvement, and a commitment to safe, effective, and ethical patient care and work practices is required. Must have proven dependability and accountability with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Addiction and Mental Health.

**Preferred Qualifications**:
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently. Have strong communication to consult and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in both hospital and community settings. An excellent attendance record and personal suitability must be demonstrated through your employment record and references. Heart and Stroke BLS Level C Health Care Provider, NVCI certificate, and strong de-escalation skills preferred.
