**Job Summary**:
**Responsibilities**:
- Work with several iPSC lines and establish key readouts of differentiated cell models.
- Provide laboratory leadership with iPSC technology projects.
- Initiate and design of key cellular assays that replicate human disease with differentiated iPSC lines.
- Analyze and interpret data to develop new hypotheses.
- Monitor and evaluate completion of tasks and drive projects to decision points.
- Proactively investigate new or different technologies to improve the efficiency of the cellular differentiation process.
- Interpret and present data to scientific team members.
- Assist in managing the day-to-day activities of the laboratory, including the maintenance and good operation of equipment.
**Experience and Qualifications:
- MSc or PhD in Biology/Biochemistry/Molecular Biology with hands-on experience with cell culture.
- Experience in culturing and differentiating iPSCs is an asset.
- 1-3 yrs work experience in cell/molecular biology. Direct experience developing either cell-based biological assays or biochemical assays.
- Industry experience is a significant asset.
- Strong awareness of industry expectations is required, along with the ability to work with lab colleagues in Montreal and across Canada.
- Ability to work on more than one project at a time.
- Technical proficiency, scientific creativity, independent thought, and ability to effectively collaborate with others with multiple scientific disciplines.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills are required.
