Supervise and direct payroll team during full cycle payroll for semi-monthly, commission, monthly and contractor payroll runs
- Oversee new hire set up, final termination pays, and maintenance and review of payroll processing system to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to payroll and employment taxes
- Ensure all Payroll tasks are being completed on time by the team
- Administer employee benefits and complete monthly reconciliations for accurate premium deductions
- Annual benefit renewal
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports for corporate officers
- Provide accrual amounts for each company
- Audit twice each year to ensure accurate accruals
- Calculate and file BC EHT
- Provide accrual amounts for the company
- Audit twice each year to ensure accurate accruals
- Monitor payroll system for compliance
- Complete Year-End processing for all companies including processing of T4s and T2200 forms
- Procurement assistance: Set up systems in advance of takeover date

**Requirements**:

- Ability to maintain confidential information by adhering to legal and ethical standards
- Automotive dealership experience an asset
- Processing systems and software experience required:

- Payroll Processing System: Payworks; Payroll, Absence Management and Time Management
- Accounting System; CDK and PBS Dealer Management Systems (DMS)
- Excel - Advanced level
- Advanced understanding of provincial employment legislation and OH&S regulations for SK and the ability to review and understand new legislation impacting payroll
- People management skills, ability to lead the payroll team of administrators, which may include delegating, reviewing work, training, and coaching
- Ability to manage multiple projects or assignments at one time and ability to multi-task
- Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining compliance and regulatory standards
- Excellent planning and organization skills
- Problem analysis and ability to problem-solve
