**START DATE**: Immediately

**JOB TYPE**: Permanent. Full-time

**WORK HOURS**: Summer Hours - Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. & Saturday 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Winter Hours - Monday to Thursday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. & Fridays 7 a.m. - 3 p.m.

**LOCATION**: 4496 Chesswood Drive, North York.

**Position Purpose**:Under the direction of the E-Commerce Manager, the Order Picker/Packer is responsible for performing an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities **include but are not limited to the following:

- Pick customer orders from stock and other warehouse locations accurately and promptly using a printed packing slip or electronic device.
- Verify correct products and quantities have been selected.
- Carry or transport orders to the packing station.
- Ensure orders are staged for verification and packing.
- Notify the supervisor of any discrepancies in the information.
- Package customer orders, ensuring accuracy, and stage for shipping.
- Obtain shipping labels from warehouse computer UPS and affix labels to packages prior to shipment. Ensure packaging meets industrial safety labeling requirements.
- Use computer software packages to review, pick, and print information for shipping. Pick product by use of labels and confirm transactions.
- Prepare shipping documentation and records for shipping. Attach identifying labels or tags to materials or mark information on cases or packages.
- Check all items to be shipped for conformance to client specifications.
- Record outgoing shipments.
- Keep products separated, organized, and in good rotation.
- Follow up on orders, back orders, inventory levels
- Monitor product quality frequently, reporting problems to mitigate safety issues.
- Utilize a continuous improvement mindset and assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes.

**Other Duties& Responsibilities**
- Maintain quality service by following organization standards.
- Meet specifics of customer orders in a timely manner.
- Comply with all the company policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching as necessary.
- Unload Shipping Containers and palletize merchandise as required.
- Operating carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other equipment to move merchandise.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed and working collaboratively in a team environment to meet deadlines.
- Assist with special projects and various facility duties as required.

**Competencies & Qualifications**:

- Ability to repetitively lift and move heavy boxes
- Forklift and pallet jack experience are not required but a definite asset.
- Excellent time management skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Great work ethic and a positive attitude.
- G-level Driver’s license, Forklift Operator Certification, WHIMIS training, and TDG Ground qualifications are not required but definitely an asset.
