Beswick Tree Service has been in business for over 70 years, serving Hamilton, Burlington and the surrounding areas. We are a full service tree care company, performing tree and stump removal, tree and shrub pruning as well as tree fertilization and spraying.

We are not a fly by night tree company: we like to say that if you're looking for a few months' worth of work - Beswick isn't for you. But if you want to make a career out of this, we will work with you to develop you as a professional. Among other things, this could include helping you get your ISA certification, climbing training courses, a DZ license and ensuring that you get a broad exposure to all things tree care. Our longest tenured crew leaders have been with us 25+ years for a reason.

**Crew Leader Compensation**:

- $32 - $38+/hour (range is based on experience and qualifications. If, in addition to bucket operating experience, you're also a strong climber - you will be at the higher end of that range to start)
- Full-time, year-round employment. We offer a healthy and dynamic mix of residential, commercial and municipal work so that you get a full range of experience.
- Paid training and tuition reimbursement
- Advancement within Beswick: we are always looking to develop our tree care professionals into something more and equip them with the necessary skills to advance within the industry. As a Foreman/Crew Leader, this could include advancing to a consulting arborist or a sales estimator.

**Crew Leader / Bucket Operator Duties**:

- Pass the necessary knowledge and skills of the arboriculture trade down to your Second Climber and Ground Technician
- Buy into our culture of equipment maintenance. These are our everyday tools that we use to perform a skilled trade.
- Provide regular updates to the arborist estimators on job statuses and how your day is progressing
- Safely and responsibly operate and maintain all equipment such as chainsaws, chippers, skid steers, trucks, trailers
- Pruning, thinning and removal of deadwood
- Participate in our weekly safety and training sessions and live training sessions as needed

**Qualifications**:

- 1-2 years of bucket and bucket truck operating experience
- 3+ years of full-time climbing experience would be considered an asset
- Strong communicator and a team player with a good attitude. Being hungry, humble and having a willingness to learn are the things we care most about at Beswick.
- A valid DZ license and your own means of transportation are required. Our yard is located off of Highway 5 in Dundas.

Pay: $32.00-$38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
