Job Summary
The Crisis Worker provides assessment, triage, treatment/discharge planning, crisis intervention, immediate trauma counseling to patients in psychiatric or psychosocial crisis in the Emergency Department.

**Qualifications**:

- MSW/ Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) as a Registered Nurse
- Membership in good standing with College
- Two (2) to five (5) years’ experience working with acute Mental Health illness
- Advanced crisis assessment, high risk screening, knowledge of community resources and the Mental Health Act
- Crisis intervention experience/NVCI certificate
- Knowledge of addictions
- Ability to rapidly change workload priorities
- Demonstrates excellence in communication, both written and verbal
- Analysis / problem assessment
- Innovative and willing to learn
- Commitment to positive patient experiences
- Demonstrates individual leadership and teamwork skills
- Demonstrated commitment to, and understanding of the principles of diversity, equity and inclusion
