**Summary**

We are seeking Surveillance Investigators to join our dynamic team at Risk Control Canada. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting surveillance operations to gather intelligence and support our clients' risk management needs. Your contributions will be vital in ensuring the safety and security of our clients.

These are contractor positions, contract assignments can vary in length and work hours can be anything from a few hours to very long hours depending on the individual assignment.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Surveillance**
- Use tools and technologies such as GPS tracking, covert cameras, and digital recording devices to conduct covert video and photographic surveillance in various environments using stationary and mobile techniques.

**Report Generation**
- Prepare detailed and objective reports documenting observations, interviews, findings, and recommendations.
- Maintain confidentiality and secure handling of sensitive information and evidence.

**Information gathering**
- Interview complainants, witnesses, and other involved parties to gather relevant statements and context for investigations.
- Analyze collected information to assess credibility, identify inconsistencies
- Conduct background investigations and open-source intelligence (OSINT) searches when required
- Collaborate with internal teams or external clients to clarify investigative objectives and provide timely updates.

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma required; diploma or degree in criminology, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.
- Valid Private Investigator license
- Applicants must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain a vulnerable sector security clearance.
- Experience in surveillance, investigations, law enforcement, or corporate security is a strong asset.
- Strong interviewing skills with the ability to remain neutral, professional, and respectful.
- Excellent written communication and report-writing abilities.
- Strong observational and critical thinking skills.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable, discreet vehicle.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work long hours when needed
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.

**Job Types**: Casual, Freelance

Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour

**Benefits**:

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Holidays
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed

**Experience**:

- Surveillance: 2 years (preferred)
- investigation: 2 years (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Private Investigator License (required)
