**Job Description**:
Primary Responsibilities
- Issue purchase orders. Ensure invoices are consistent with purchase orders and correct approvals are obtained. Resolve discrepancies as required.
- Receive and review vendor invoices and ensure they are entered accurately and on time.
- Sort, classify and code invoices and expenditures appropriately and according to company standards and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable records and reconcile accounts monthly.
- Independently engage with staff across all departments to gather required information and resolve outstanding issues.
- Maintain new and existing vendor information. Communicate with vendors regarding invoice discrepancies, payment inquiries, and other issues.
- Ensure all records are filed and organized.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounts payable operations.

Additional Responsibilities
- Additional responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, managing inventory, reconciling credit card and employee expense entries, and recording transactions for various financial processes.
- Provide support to other accounting staff and assist with month-end processes, including reconciling accounts, preparing reports, and supporting the overall financial close.
- Project work.
- Other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager.

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Diploma or certificate in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Minimum 1 year of accounting experience. 2 years + of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is considered an asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially in Excel.
- Authorized to work in Canada.
