**What you will do**:
Our People Team is looking for someone to join us to who will partner with leaders and employees to, support them in the core People (HR) program elements including employee relations, performance management, health & safety, training & development, change management, talent management and total rewards. You will contribute to the creation, implementation and administration of sound people strategies and best practices in all areas covering the entire employee lifecycle.
This role requires you to be both tactical and strategic, leading business focused initiatives while also driving solutions on a day-to-day basis. Therefore, you will be asked to take a ‘hands on’ interest in People (HR) operations while being equally effective developing and implementing people related programs aligned to our strategic plan.
You will work as an employee and people leader coach, fostering relationships across the organization and providing a solid HR foundation to support the growth, development and goals of the YMCA and its people. You will leverage these relationships and your business acumen to turn data into actionable insights, process and practices improvements and forward thinking new ideas for how to tackle the work.
As a key member of our People Team you will take the lead on several organization wide people initiatives related to leadership development and employee engagement aimed at driving employee well-being and maintaining best practices.
**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- You will partner with leaders and employees, supporting them in core People and Culture elements including managing and resolving employee relations issues, performance management concerns, investigation and termination supports, leadership / employee coaching, talent management and development priorities, talent acquisition and compensation consultation support for your client groups.
- You will work with your client groups to provide guidance on and interpretation of our policies and procedures to ensure we maintain alignment to our organizational culture.
- You will be responsible for partnering on all employee and leader experience initiatives for your respective client groups.
