Ebco Industries Ltd. is looking for a Light Assembly worker to assist with building hospital linen carts. This role is critical to the reputation that Ebco has built for delivering world-class quality manufacturing.
**WHAT WE DO**
Ebco Industries, Ltd. (Ebco) is one of Canada’s largest manufacturing facilities with over 65 years in manufacturing expertise. We deliver world-class quality manufacturing and repair and rebuild services to projects based domestically and worldwide. Our strengths encompass the complete spectrum from heavy metal fabrication, heavy machining, turnkey assembly to light precision machining and fabrication as well as precision sheet metal fabrication. Our customers range from small and/or start-up companies to world class suppliers of OEM capital equipment and machinery. Our headquarters and manufacturing facility is located in Richmond, B.C. Canada.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Assemble hospital carts including installation, drilling, bolting and fitting rubber around the wheels
- Clean and polish carts
- You may be required to tack weld
- Communicating effectively with other workers to direct personal workflow
- Operating the equipment in a safe manner and reporting hazards associated with the equipment or its operators to appropriate Supervisor.
- Cleaning and maintaining an orderly work area.
**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES**
- Knowledge and experience of working with hand-tools and power tools
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and meet deadlines
- MIG welding experience an asset
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (reading, writing and speaking) to Supervisors and other related departments
- Ability to lift or move 50 lbs. or more
