**Do you have what it takes?**

Working out of the Concord office the Junior Detailer is responsible for accurately detailing Rebar according to contract drawings, specifications, and Reinforcing Steel Manual of Standard Practice.

**Core Duties**
- Produce structural take-offs by examining drawings from engineers and/or architects to determine the requirements of reinforcing steel to support concrete structures
- Identifying any ‘specialty’ material required at the start of the project for early ordering of this material
- Request all information that is required to detail Rebar correctly, e.g. Elevations, pour break locations, etc.
- Review of drawings and identifying any changes from Tender to Construction issues and entering of above changes or any changes/revisions into Estimating software for pricing
- Produce accurate shop drawings to facilitate the fabrication and placement of reinforcement as specified within the contract documentation.
- Work closely with engineers and /or architects to obtain shop drawing approval for fabrication.
- Produce work orders for fabrication and coordinate with customer to schedule initial deliveries of material to job site
- Track progress of projects and be proactive in regards to scheduling
- Provide assistance to resolve placement and fabrication issues that might arise on site.
- Handle the occasional scheduling of installers.
- Work closely with customers to achieve highest level of service

**Education/Experience**
- Post-Secondary education in a Construction or Architectural Engineering Program.
- 0-2 years’ experience as a Reinforcing Steel Detailer.
- Skilled in AutoCAD and Microsoft (Excel).
- Knowledge of Reinforcing Steel Manual of Standard Practices is an asset.
- Experience in 3D detailing programs and Rebar Cad is an asset.
