**What You’ll Be Doing**
**File Management and Administrative Support**
- Assist in managing all aspects of litigation files from intake to resolution
- Maintain physical and electronic filing systems in accordance with firm protocol
- Track deadlines, court dates, and internal deliverables using BF systems and calendar alerts
**Legal Document Preparation**
- Assist in preparing, formatting, and proofreading court documents including pleadings, affidavits, motion records, and undertakings responses
- E-file or serve documents as required in accordance with the **Rules of Civil Procedure**:
- Support preparation of trial materials, discovery briefs, and summaries of evidence
**Team Coordination and Client Liaison**
- Work closely with the firm’s senior associate to keep files moving and ensure deadlines are met
- Communicate professionally with clients, court staff, process servers, and opposing counsel
- Coordinate scheduling of discoveries, mediations, and court attendances
**Billing and Organization**
- Assist with pre-bill review, time entry tracking, and WIP updates
- Organize disbursements and liaise with the Accounting Department as needed
- Ensure all file activity is properly documented and up to date
**Who You Are**
- 1 to 3 years of litigation law clerk or legal assistant experience (civil/commercial litigation preferred)
- Completed Law Clerk diploma or Legal Assistant program (ILCO certification an asset)
- Familiarity with Ontario court procedures and filing systems
- Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills
- Comfortable with Microsoft 365, Adobe Pro, and legal document formatting
- Team-oriented, proactive, and hungry to develop new skills
- Eager to contribute and grow within a high-performing litigation group
