**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Prepare and cook food items according to recommended Canadian menu for daycare
- Bake breads and pastries for children and daycare staffs
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas
- Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe dining experience
- Handle food items safely and efficiently, following proper food handling procedures
- Collaborate with daycare staffs
- Assist the family child care provider and staffs during mealtimes, outdoor plays and nap times when a staff has taken offs

**Skills**
- Proven experience in a kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
- Ability to bake and cook
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with daycare children, parents and staffs
- Ability to work efficiently not just on the intended tasks but to oversee the whole welfare of children in attendance
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks as needed

Pay: $17.50-$20.50 per hour
