**Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages and teas
- Serve hot and cold food items according to recipes and standards.
- Learn menu in depth and thoroughly
- Greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for cash handling and processing transactions (Square & Clover devices)
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment, utensils, and displays. Follow all cafe lists and protocols.
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards in all aspects of food handling, preparation, and cleaning.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages to managers as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- **Take initiative, make suggestions, and actively participate in making this new cafe space well loved by all staff and customers.**

**Experience**
- Previous experience in the food industry such as cafes, restaurants, or events. ( 1 year - required)
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is beneficial.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $16.50-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
