As Powertech Health, Safety & Environment Lead, you will develop, deploy, and coordinate company programs, processes, and procedures to achieve Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) objectives. Working as part of a team, you will help to identify and resolve HSE issues in a mixed setting of activities within laboratories and offices but also within customer premises where our workers or contractors are working.

**Responsibilities**
- Establish and support standardized risk assessment and risk management processes throughout Powertech in relation to fire, electrical, chemical, mechanical and environmental risks.
- Provide electrical safety oversight and leadership for energized and de-energized work, safety & environmental guidance.
- Provide advice for existing operations, HSE programs, and procedures.
- Initiate and complete projects and activities leading to improved HSE programs, methods, and processes to impact the overall HSE performance within Powertech.
- Communicate HSE expectations and requirements, provide HSE inputs and explain plans for correction of gaps.
- Be involved in the investigation of HSE accidents to ensure correct investigation, standardized reporting, and use of scientific and engineering principles to eliminate and reduce risks.
- Develop and enhance the Powertech’s HSE incident prevention, electrical safety, and chemical, high pressure and mechanical safety program and deliver it throughout Powertech.
- Develop and use performance indicators; data analysis and data treatment to monitor and establish action plans.
- Participate in and/or lead HSE self-assessments and/or audits.
- Conduct HSE program audits and assessments, drive continuous improvement, and demonstrate compliance with various regulatory and quality requirements and objectives.
- Influence change, develop safety culture, and provide a collaborative safety service.
- Make sound judgments and decisions in all situations and develop and maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
- Coordinate all aspects of HSE Program including training for current and new team members.
- Maintain and manage safety & training program by using Powertech’s Internal Learning Management System (LMS)
- Maintain documents showing compliance with HSE programs and procedures.
- Develop Site Safety Plans including audit requirements, procedures, and practices needed for compliance with customers’ site safety requirements.
- Perform Site Safety Observations for field work, electrical, mechanical and high-pressure laboratories.
- Track Federal, Provincial and Local safety & environmental regulations and evaluates their effects on company operations.
- Interface with Operations, Testing, Engineering, Human Resources, Quality, Purchasing, Legal Affairs and others to meet assigned safety & environmental objectives.
