ABOUT THE ROLE
Enbala is seeking an IT Cybersecurity Co-op responsible for supporting the successful operation of Enbala’s Information Security Management Systems (ISMS). The role will be working on supporting technical implementations and integration of Enbala’s IT and InfoSec initiatives. Technologies we use:
- Multiple OS platforms (MacOS, Windows, Linux) - AWS, Azure - Terraform, Git - Shell, Python Scripting - Jamf Pro
Looking for a 4-8 month commitment, term will vary based on performance. We anticipate a 40 hour work week.
- Assisting with maintenance of IT inventory and the procurement of IT hardware - Troubleshooting problems with systems and programs. - Monitoring and maintaining IT Infrastructure. - Actively monitoring the health of all IT security monitoring systems and take immediate corrective action when necessary - Upgrading, installing, and configuring new hardware and software to meet company objectives. - Documenting processes, creating diagrams, and developing data retrieval and recovery procedures. - Collaborating inside and outside the IT/InfoSec team to assist Enbala Security Compliance Program. - Support building reports for management and audits. - Learning AWS, and many other technologies
**Minimal Qualifications**:
- Currently enrolled in a Computer Science or equivalent degree program and completed at least 3 years of study.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Experience in AWS and/or Azure - Security certifications preferred - Working experience with fundamental concepts of IT environments.
**Knowledge**:
- An understanding of cybersecurity standards and frameworks, especially ISO27001 - Knowledge of Disaster Recovery practices and concepts - Ability to work independently as well as with a team
**Skills**:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex technical information in non-technical terms - Enjoy working in highly collaborative environments and exhibit a passion for building and growing strong cultural practices and excited to work in complex domains - Self-motivated problem solver, requiring mínimal direction and have a passion for continuous improvement in yourself and your practices - Ability to engage a reported issue, document and lead the efforts needed to discover the root cause of an issue and rapidly move towards its remediation - Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, vendors, clients and public
**Physical demands**:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting; close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
