**MISSION**: The mission of the Maintenance Manager is to provide leadership and direction for the maintenance functions ensuring that all production and support equipment is maintained at plant strategic goal levels for reliability and availability. The Manager must lead the transition from a traditional breakdown/fix culture to a reliability-centered/Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) culture. The leader solves problems, makes good, timely decisions and is a change agent for continuous improvement
**JOB FUNCTIONS**:
- Provide direct supervision, technical direction, administrative support, and leadership for the Maintenance Department
- Manage plant-wide maintenance and capital, maximizing asset reliability, uptime, and cost effectiveness.
- Provide long-range planning for facility and equipment needs including capital and major repairs.
- Develop, implement, and hold crews accountable to achieving Maintenance goals that are aligned with plant strategic goals.
- Shares an obligation to protect and strengthen Graphic Packaging International’s good reputation in our relationships with customers, employees, suppliers, competitors, investors, and governmental agencies, and to act consistently with our core values: Integrity, Respect, Accountability, Relationships, and Teamwork.
- Develop Maintenance Skill Matrix, conduct skills assessment, and develop training plan to close skill gaps.
- Develop Maintenance budget identifying large projects and on-going Maintenance requirements.
- Manage FM Global audits, plan reviews, execution of recommendations.
- Responsible for facility, out buildings and property maintenance
- Manage Fire protections systems.
- Directly involved in responsibilities/actions related to SQF
- Participate in SQF root cause analysis and corrective actions as required
- Report any potentially unsafe SQF conditions
**BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE**:
- Prior management of staff
- Computer Maintenance Management Systems (SAP)
- Planning and scheduling
- Preventative/Predictive/Precision Maintenance
- Reliability Engineering
- Proven ability to effectively manage projects
- Experience in electrical or mechanical maintenance of packaging converting equipment is a plus
**SPECIFIC SKILLS**:
- Proven track record of identifying opportunities for improvement and the ability to recommend implementation plans
- Leader with exceptional communication skills, organization skills, and the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
- Ability to lead change
- Action oriented and self-motivated: enjoys working hard and acts with the right amount of planning. Seizes opportunities to achieve goals and improve the process
- Establishes clear expectations and inspects the expectations to ensure they are being met
- Ability to hold employees accountable, ensure policies and processes are being followed, implement training and development of maintenance team

**EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and TPM work systems a plus.
- Working knowledge of SAP a plus
- Knowledge of Reliability Centered Maintenance a plus.
