**Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions tailored to the individual needs of students.
- Assess students’ strengths and weaknesses to develop customized learning plans.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and areas for improvement.
- Create engaging lesson plans that promote active learning and critical thinking.
- Maintain a supportive and encouraging atmosphere that fosters student confidence and motivation.
- Track student performance and adjust tutoring strategies as needed to maximize effectiveness.

**Experience**
- Prior experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information to students.
- Familiarity with classroom dynamics and the ability to adapt teaching methods accordingly.
- A passion for helping students learn and succeed academically.
- Our education center is looking for passionate and qualified teachers in the following areas:

- **English Writing and Reading Teachers**:

- **ESL (English as a Second Language) Teachers**:

- **IELTS Instructors**:

- **Science Teachers**: Specializing in **Physics, Biology, or Chemistry**

**Job Types**: Part-time, Internship / Co-op
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $22.00-$39.61 per hour

Additional pay:

- Bonus pay

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Coquitlam, BC V3B 7W3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

**Experience**:

- teaching: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)
