**Global Mining Products** is a **Langley, BC**-based manufacturer seeking a **Warehouse Lead **to join our warehouse / shipping team.

Applicants must have at least **3 years experience** in warehousing / shipping, and **at least 1 year** in a **‘Team Lead’ **or **‘Lead Hand’** role.

A valid **forklift certificate**, and **Narrow Aisle Forklift** experience are **required**.

**Hours**: Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm.

**Responsibilities**
- Ensures all Shipping / Warehouse work orders and tasks are **accomplished on time**, **accurately **and consistent with our **quality goals**:

- **Effectively delegates **tasks with **clear directions **that enable staff to **work efficiently** and **safely**:

- Working on jobs based on need, or with direction from the Shipping Coordinator or Shop Manager
- **Planning** and **preparing** for **incoming or outgoing shipments**, and allocating time and staff accordingly
- Coordinate with the QC engineer to ensure all incoming and outgoing products, parts and materials are **quality checked**:

- Ensure all inbound products are **accurately counted**, **properly labelled** and **correctly inventoried**, reporting any discrepancies or count issues to the Shipping Coordinator
- Assist in coordination and participation of **inventory control initiatives** such as cycle counts and year-end counts
- Ensure **daily equipment / safety checks** are completed and turned in to the Shop Manager
- Ensure warehouse staff **follow safe-work practices**, and notify the Shop Manager of any safety-related issues or concerns

**Required Skills / Qualifications**
- **At least 3 years’ experience** in warehouse / shipping, and at least 1 year in a ‘Team Lead’ or ‘Lead Hand’ role
- **Valid forklift certification**, with **SDCB** **forklift** and **Narrow Aisle forklift** experience
- **Experience** with **overhead cranes** and **jib cranes**:

- **Experience with palletizing, banding** and **wrapping **orders
- **Familiarity **with basic documents such as pick lists, packing slips, return / RMA sheets, etc
- **Clear communication** and **good inter-personal skills** for **effective task delegation**:

- **Motivated**, **helpful **and **friendly** personality
- Basic experience with label printing software and Microsoft Word
- Good written and spoken English
- Can lift up to 50 pounds routinely throughout the workday

**Bonus Skills / Qualifications**
- Valid driving license and good driving record
- Experience with MRP / inventory systems (eg. Acumatica, Oracle, INFOR VISUAL, Business Central)
- Experience booking shipments with freight carriers
