**RIGHT CHOICE Camps & Catering** is currently seeking a special individual with Food & Beverage Multi-Unit Supervisory experience with the ability to visit, train and manage our field camp staff and facilities. Experience has to clearly demonstrate the ability to perform all 3 of the core duties, along with the ability to work in remote locations.
**Field Operations Supervisor** will report to the Hospitality Manager and will supervise the overall operations for an assigned group of remote camp and catering facilities. Responsible for directing all employee functions within these facilities in accordance with the policies and practices of the company. Responsibilities will include the implementation of the company strategies for meeting operational goals in the area of customer service & budget management.
Room & board while in remote facility is provided. The rotation for shifts will be 20 days on, 10 days off.
**Responsibilities**
- Development of a “Team” atmosphere within the designated camps
- Understands HACCP and company approved methods of stock rotation; using the First In First Out method (FIFO)
- Has a complete understanding of facility operations while achieving profit targets
- Ensuring quality staff are trained while providing leadership & coaching direct reports
- Meet performance standards and expectations while ensuring productivity goals are met
- Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
- Developing and maintaining superior customer relations with clients
- Deliver quality product and service in all areas of the facility.
- Ensure timely and accurate billing reports are submitted.
- Review financial reports, recognizing variances and providing corrective actions to achieve budget.
- Ensure the effective utilization of camp facilities by developing strategies to optimize all aspects of the operation.
- Ensure employee developmental requirements are identified and appropriate plans of actions are implemented.
- Preform camp site operation audits
- Travel is required at least 90% of the time. Individual facility visits to each particular attention to follow up on all required stations.
- Monitor the physical equipment at each facility to assure it is being maintained and operated as set out by the company standards and procedures.
- Insure that all Safety and Operating standards are met
**Requirements**:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in remote camp operations
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the hospitality industry
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Multi-Unit Manager
- Education in hotel or restaurant management preferred but not necessary given experience
- Advanced Food Safe certification, WHMIS and First Aid with CPR certification preferred (training can be provided)
- Must be literate in the English language with reading and writing competency
- Emotional maturity, able to handle stress and demonstrates professionalism
- Be able to build collaborative relationships
- Positive attitude and outgoing personality are essential
- Exceptional leadership and management skills
- Ability to develop and motivate staff to achieve challenging goals
- Superior oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs
- Organizing, Planning and Administrative Skills
- Proven Decision Making Ability
- Proficient at finding creative solutions
- Knowledge of facility equipment and equipment maintenance
- Class 5 drivers license (must be able to supply drivers abstract)
**Safety**
- Works in a safe and responsible manner
- Belief in a safety first work environment
- Has a complete understanding of WHMIS
- Has a complete understanding of Food Safe
- Has a complete understanding of First aide with CPR
- Has a complete understanding of all RCCC policies and procedures
- Has a complete understanding of facility software
