**Summary**

The Store Guide educates and assists customers with the selection of merchandise in the clothing department by providing friendly, knowledgeable service. The Store Guide may be required to work in multiple areas of the store, but will be an expert in the clothing department. He or she epitomizes what Breathe Outdoors stands for by providing the best service possible. The Store Guide at Breathe Outdoors must have a passion and enthusiasm for helping people enjoy the outdoors.

**Job Duties**

**_Customer Care_**
- Greets customers and identifies their needs
- Demonstrates, fits, or measures merchandise for customers
- Advises customers on how to care for and use products
- Stocks shelves and creates displays when necessary
- Remains current on sales promotions, policies regarding payment, and exchange procedures
- Answers phones, assists customers over the phone and directs calls appropriately
- Transfer in product for customers or makes special product requests

**_Sales_**
- Strives to achieve established Key Performance Indicators

**_Theft Prevention_**
- Monitors customers in an effort to prevent theft
- Keeps abreast of store security practices

**_Teamwork_**
- Collaborates as an integral member of the team to contribute toward the success of the organization

**Requirements**:

- High School diploma preferred
- Continual learning is required
- Must be outgoing and personable and able to deal with diverse customers
- Possess the ability to multitask and prioritize
- Functions well under stress
- Is attuned to outdoor industry trends and current customer tastes and a passion for the outdoors
- Must be well groomed and adhere to dress code policies
- Is attentive to details
- Must have 3 years clothing sales experience
- Must have a passion for the outdoors

**Work Conditions**
- Indoor retail setting
- May be required to work at off-site promotional events
- Physically capable of standing for long periods of time, lifting, bending, and stretching
- May be required to work overtime during busy periods
- Shifts may include evenings and/or weekends

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Weekends as needed

**Experience**:

- Clothing Sales: 2 years (preferred)

Work Location: In person
