Travelling Site Superintendent

Our client, a well-established company specializing in construction as a general contractor for more than 45 years and headquartered in Montreal, is currently looking for a Travelling Site Superintendent.

While collaborating with the Project Manager, the Travelling Site Superintendent is responsible for the subcontractors on site to ensure timely completion of activities as per the construction contract as well as:

- Leading and managing the on-site construction team
- Coordinating and overseeing all work onsite
- Ensuring that quality standards are met
- Attending meetings with the client, vendors, and external partners
- Monitoring and ensuring compliance with on-site safety, cleanliness, and orderliness
- Overseeing assistant site superintendent in issues of daily field reports
- Conducting inspections as required per local jurisdictional specifications
- Ensuring daily work reports as well as work plans are up to date
- Updating the project schedule, managing priorities, and meeting milestones
- Ensuring deficiencies are managed and correct up to company standards
- Travelling to construction sites across the United States

**Required qualifications and experience**:

- Three (3) years and more of Superintendent experience in the retail construction industry (inclusive of luxury sector) or residential construction industry
- Technical Diploma in building or construction technology
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing construction sites
- Experience with high-end architectural + millwork packages.
- Proficiency with project management software including MS Project, Procore, etc.
- Excellent mastery of reading plans and specifications with experience of the site
- Excellent oral and written communication skills

The travelling superintendent must have the ability to demonstrate successfully completed projects. The travelling superintendent must show a sense of urgency, have strong decision-making skills, and posses a high level of availability.

Tout en collaborant avec le gestionnaire de projet, le surintendant de chantier itinérant est responsable des sous-traitants sur le site afin d'assurer l'achèvement en temps opportun des activités conformément au contrat de construction ainsi que:

- Diriger et gérer l'équipe de construction sur le site
- Coordonner et superviser tous les travaux sur le site
- S'assurer que les normes de qualité sont respectées
- Assister aux réunions avec le client, les fournisseurs et les partenaires externes
- Surveiller et assurer le respect de la sécurité, de la propreté et de l'ordre sur le chantier
- Superviser l'assistant du chef de chantier pour ce qui est des rapports quotidiens sur le terrain.
- Effectuer les inspections requises selon les spécifications des autorités locales.
- S'assurer que les rapports de travail quotidiens et les plans de travail sont à jour.
- Mettre à jour l'échéancier du projet, gérer les priorités et respecter les jalons.
- S'assurer que les déficiences sont gérées et corrigées conformément aux normes de l'entreprise.
- Déplacements sur les chantiers de construction à travers les États-Unis.

**Qualifications et expérience requises**:

- Trois (3) ans et plus d'expérience en tant que surintendant dans l'industrie de la construction de magasins de détail (y compris le secteur du luxe) ou dans l'industrie de la construction résidentielle.
