**Wimpy’s Diner is hiring Servers** **Looking for friendly, reliable servers with restaurant experience or a willingness to learn to join our energetic team Wimpy’s Diner brings the classic 50s & 60s diner experience into the modern day We're known for all-day breakfast, hearty lunches, and homestyle dinners that create lasting memories for guests of all ages.**

**What You'll Do**:

- Greet and serve guests with a positive attitude
- Deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment
- Take orders accurately, deliver food and beverages to customers safely and in a timely manner
- Operate the POS system accurately and efficiently
- Pack delivery app orders correctly and in a timely manner - Uber, Skip, DoorDash
- Place phone orders and walk-in orders properly
- Work with the kitchen and fellow team members to ensure smooth service
- Keep your work area, the diner, and all other areas clean and safe

**Requirements**:

- Smart Serve Certified - CURRENT
- Server experience or some experience in a restaurant setting
- Experience using POS systems or similar
- Familiarity with delivery apps (Uber Eats, SkipTheDishes, DoorDash)
- Comfortable handling phone orders and walk-in takeouts
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced team environment
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible with availability

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- ABILITY TO WORK UNDER PRESSURE, UNDER A HIGH-VOLUME, FAST PACED ENVIRONMENT.
- SMART SERVE CERTIFIED - CURRENT
- SERVING EXPERIENCE OR SOME EXPERIENCE IN A RESTAURANT SETTING
- POS SYSTEM EXPERIENCE or SIMILAR
- FAMILIAR WITH DELIVERY APPS - UBER, SKIP, DOORDASH
- RELIABLE, PUNCTUAL, FLEXIBLE WITH AVAILABILITY
- ABILITY TO TAKE PHONE ORDERS & WALK-IN TAKE OUT ORDERS

The first “Wimpy's” appeared in 1961 as Wimpy's Drive-in. Then in 1988, two dedicated restaurateurs relocated and the first Wimpys Diner became established with a full menu.

Shortly after that, there was a change in management. The first Wimpy's Diner was a BIG success and it is still in operation and successful to date. Both families had a shared vision with one successful location open already the decision was simple to open a second location.

In 1992 just a few Kilometers in distance the second location opened, and of course from the beginning the success was even greater than predicted. With two successful locations, the future of the Wimpy's Diner franchise was born. Two locations with the same name, same concept, same menu, same philosophy. The future was inevitable, with 50+ locations in Ontario and expansion plans are in the works.
