Global Pathways Manager

Applications are invited for the position of Global Pathways Manager in the Global Engagement Division, located at the Daniel J. Patterson Campus. The salary range is $68,911 to $86,140 for a 35 hour work week. Additional hours may be required as necessary.
The Global Pathways Manager is responsible for leading, planning and oversight of all inbound and outbound global pathway agreements between international educational institutions and Niagara College. The Global Pathways Manager will develop a global partnership framework, pathway tools, and the assessment of possible global pathways for consideration by the Centre for Academic Excellence and the Academic Divisions at Niagara College. The Global Pathways Manager will lead discussions resulting in the development of global partnerships and ensure that global program pathways are in alignment with Niagara College’s strategic priorities and diversification goals. The Global Pathways Manager is also responsible to ensure that all global pathway agreements and Memorandums of Understandings for each global pathway are regularly reviewed and are up to date.
**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:
- Liaise and negotiate with global college and university partners to develop and maintain global articulation agreements and student pathways.
- Liaise and support the Global Engagement Division and the International Students Division to assess potential global pathway agreements that include, but are not limited to, the initial review of curriculum, institutional and program assessments, and feasibility analysis amongst others.
- Maintain central databases for all global Memorandums of Understandings and global articulation agreements.
- Collaborate with global partner institutions and/or the relationship manager to access academic documentation to support the viability of inbound global pathways.
- Provide curriculum analysis to recommend the suitability of pathways for inbound international students.
- Prepare documentation for the Centre of Academic Excellence and Academic Departments to determine the suitability of the inbound and outbound global pathways.
- Review practices and standards of global institutions to ensure that the global partner’s quality of academic delivery meets Niagara College and Ministry standards.
- Act as liaison between the Global Engagement teams, Cultural and Global Engagement department, global partner institutions, the CAE, and the academic schools of Niagara College to support the development, maintenance and renewal or cancelation of global pathway agreements and customized programming.
- Conduct global market research, including global labour market research, to determine demands for academic programming in key markets.
- Identify and support curriculum requirements of global partner institutions for pathways including the provision of program learning outcomes and other program documents including Teaching and Learning Plans, and Course Outlines.
- Serve as a resource for the Senior Director, Global Engagement, the Director, Global Business Development, Manager, Global Customized Training and Consulting, and the Director, Global Campus Operations in new business development and the development of global partnerships and pathways.
- Ensure global articulation agreements, student pathways and Memorandums of Understandings are reviewed regularly and updated as necessary.
**Qualifications**:
- Three (3) year diploma/degree in Business, Global Development, Education (including pedagogy, curriculum design), Social Sciences or similar field of study
- Five (5) years experience in developing, delivering and mapping curriculum within a global context.
- Excellent written and oral communication, research, analytical reasoning, and problem-solving skills as well as highly developed project management, planning, administrative, organizational and time management skills.
- Advanced understanding of program design and delivery within the Ontario postsecondary system.
- Thorough knowledge of global postsecondary program designs and credential frameworks.
- Knowledge of academic quality assurance practices within the Ontario postsecondary system.
- High level of professionalism and diplomacy while maintaining confidentiality when consulting with global partner institutions, identifying needs or issues, and facilitating solutions.
- Ability to exercise mature judgement, diplomacy, and conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrated experience in international education, international relations or international business and negotiation.
