**Supervisor, Business Systems & GIS**:

**Job Summary**

**Typical Duties and Responsibilities**
People working in this role can expect to be responsible for performing the following duties. This list is not meant to be comprehensive and other related duties similar in scope and complexity may be performed.
- Designs system architecture required to support electronic document records management system including development and testing environments
- Develops policy requirements to support integration implementations
- Provides system requirements to Technical Services team to ensure the appropriate hardware architecture is deployed in order to support enterprise level systems
- Maintains, supports, promotes and coordinates shared technical services (such as database access, internal and public web mapping, data editing, and web services) ensuring achieved business value by all parties which include the public, municipalities and other government agencies
- Writes, reviews, or executes plans for testing new and established systems
- Analyze, interpret and disseminate system performance data
- Supervises a team of technical staff and consultants
- Researches new technologies and stays informed of technical trends to ensure potential business value is achieved
- Converts business and systems requirements into detailed system designs and technical specifications
- Plans, documents, and coordinates upgrades and changes for enterprise systems including communicating and implementing change management processes
- Works with the Database Administrator to create and/or review corporate data models and to develop data standards
- Design, implement, configure, and maintain various Microsoft Azure SaaS Cloud Services such as Azure AD tenant, Microsoft Defender for Identity, Azure Site Recovery, Certificate Based Authentication, Enterprise Mobility and Security
- Deploy and maintain Microsoft Azure IaaS Virtual Machines and Azure Application and Networking Services to support migration and growth into the cloud
- Optimize Azure buildouts for cost/performance (VM optimization, reserved instances, etc.)
- Develops and reports on KPI metrics to Supervisor for inclusion in communications to business customers
- Follows all policies, procedures and standards of the CRD
- Performs other related duties as required.

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and customer service skills are required
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft development languages: C#, SQL, JavaScript,.NET, CSS3 and HTML5
- Advanced level knowledge and experience integrating enterprise business systems with GIS
- Advanced level knowledge and experience administering enterprise information systems including integrating, planning, communicating, testing, upgrading, patching, configuring, security and web services
- Knowledge of and experience implementing policies and best practices for the integration of enterprise business systems
- Significant experience planning, testing, and upgrading enterprise systems
- Significant experience supervising and directing work of technical staff
- Ability to effectively communicate highly technical information in a clear and concise manner
- Experience with IT change management processes, controls and procedures (ITIL)
- Experience with project management techniques and preparing project documentation.
- Significant experience using and implementing Web Services (SOAP, REST, WCF)
- Knowledge of Microsoft based server technologies
- Experience with IIS
- Understanding of SQL stored procedures, indexing, spatial indexes and SQL geometry types
- Demonstrated expertise working with SQL and SQL Server
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work independently and to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with IT and GIS staff and internal and external stakeholders.
