**Job Position: Shipper/Receiver**

**Location: North York**

As a Shipper/Receiver, you will be responsible for managing the shipping and receiving operations in the warehouse.

**Duties**:

- Responsible for loading and unloading of goods from trucks or other conveyances.
- Operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to unload, transport and store goods.
- Inspect and verify incoming goods against purchase orders or other documents, record shortages and reject damaged goods.
- Code and route goods to appropriate storage areas.
- Record detailed shipping/receiving documentation.
- Rotate stock and conduct inventory cycle counts.
- Maintain internal, manual, and computerized record-keeping systems (BV/Sage, Inventory Control System).
- Food Safety & Quality responsibility as outlined in SOPs & other training materials provided and accurate record keeping.
- Work with buyer to plan and organize receipt of raw material.
- Work with transport companies to coordinate local as well as out of province incoming raw material.
- Work with QA Technician for inspection of raw material to verify quality and assist with documentation.
- Work with Accounting to provide daily/monthly raw material inventory count.
- Work with approved vendors to schedule waste material pick-up.
- Work with approved vendors to maintain required pallet inventory in warehouse.
- Perform daily safety inspection of designated forklifts.

**Skills**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Computer skills - specifically with Microsoft Office.
- Forklift certification and any other workplace safety certifications are an asset.
- General knowledge and skills specific to the handling of skidded materials, racking of skids, and the machinery used to carry out this function.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Able to work efficiently both independently as well as in a team setting.
- An excellent command of written and oral English is required.
- Food industry experience preferred.

- Shipping & receiving: 3 years (preferred)
- Forklift: 3 years (preferred)
