Atlantic Acura, Halifax's leading luxury automotive dealership is currently seeking a highly motivated Service Advisor to join their award winning team. Located on the Bedford Highway in Halifax, Atlantic Acura is family owned and has been serving Nova Scotia since 1987.
The Service Advisor's responsibilities include greeting and communicating with customers, recommending services, and estimating costs. The Service Advisor will ensure outstanding service by working with customers to determine their vehicle issues, determining the repair timeline, and working with technicians to convey the customers' concerns with accurate repair descriptions.
To be successful in this role, you should have excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills. You should also have a strong understanding of automotive technology and of the automotive industry.
**Service Advisor Responsibilities**:
- Greet customers and offer excellent customer service from intake to release of their vehicles
- Document vehicle issues based on customer description and vehicle condition
- Review service history and recommend additional required services
- Provide a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts
- Translate customer-reported problems to actionable work orders for technicians to complete
- Ensure that automotive work provided to customers meets company quality standards
- Invoice and collect payment from customers for services rendered
- Handle and resolve customer complaints regarding services
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Maintain and update accurate customer records
**Service Advisor Qualifications**:
- Working knowledge and experience of automotive products, repairs and parts
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Basic knowledge of computer programs
- Organizational skills including the ability to schedule appointments, meet with customers and ensure that work is done properly and on time
- Ability to communicate complicated automotive processes to customers who may only have basic automotive knowledge
- Possess a good work ethic and a positive attitude
