**Position Summary**

The Calgary Stampede is looking for an energetic, friendly, and organized individual to help us welcome and host media from across the city and around the world to The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth, from July 2 - 13, 2025. Journalists of all mediums and channels will arrive at the Calgary Stampede to cover this annual festival, on a variety of topics from the rodeo, to the concerts and our world famous food. The Media Lounge is a designated and exclusive space for journalists to write, upload photos, edit videos, file stories, or take a break between interviews and to ensure they have the resources and space they need to complete their assignments. Reporting to the Manager of Communications and Media Relations, the Media Lounge Host is an ambassador for the Calgary Stampede.

**_ This is a seasonal position during Stampede July 2 - 13, 2025._**

**Responsibilities**

Responsibilities of our Media Lounge Host include, but are not limited to:

- Be the primary contact for the Calgary Stampede’s Media Lounge - answering questions from journalists, providing support for tech problems, and troubleshooting questions, comments or concerns.
- Be the point of contact for the catering order at the media lounge - including meals and drinks.
- Reset the media lounge at the end of each shift, preparing to welcome journalists the next day.

**Qualifications**
- A self-starter who is highly motivated, dependable and organized.
- A “people person” who enjoys meeting new people and delivering an exceptional experience that leaves a lasting impression.
- Strong verbal communication skills and quick analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
