We are currently seeking a Temporary Forklift Operator (3 Month Contract) who can be nice, will seek inspiration from our roots, can commit to achieving results the right way and loves to think big to join us on our journey.

The Temporary Forklift Operator for Roots will be responsible for the following:
- Complete daily MHE check list as per company and government requirements.
- Report to the start of shift area on time with all required equipment.
- Check with Inventory Team Lead for the daily goals and get the assigned tasks.
- Communicate with Team Lead or department supervisor for any hurdles or once the task is complete.
- Ensuring that established standards for inventory functions, quality and productivity are being achieved.
- Assist on the floor, such as loading and unloading of the trailers, completing put away’s, assist with cleaning and maintaining a safe work environment, physical move of the inventory without the use of MHE and complete other assigned tasks by the Team Lead or Supervisor.
- Communicate the status of the assigned tasks, return all equipment to the appropriate area, and ensure the MHE is plugged for charging.
- All other duties assigned by management.
- Completion of Secondary School Diploma.
- Forklift License and experience with Raymond Double Deep Reach is a must.
- 1-3 years of work experience within a Warehouse Environment
- Ability to remain in one position for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent problem solving, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to produce results under pressure in a fast-paced work environment using tact and camaraderie.
- Compliance with work instructions and health and safety standards.
- Exhibits autonomy and takes initiative with daily tasks including multitasking and switching priorities as required.
- Overtime as required based on seasonal business needs (this may include weekends during peak periods).
**Available Shifts**:
- Afternoon: 3:15pm - 11:00pm
**This role is eligible for**:
- An hourly wage of $21.01
- $0.50 afternoon shift premium (available only for afternoon shift associates)
- Weekly pay (Friday)
- A generous employee discount
- Vacation pay (4% of salary annually) which is paid back to the employee
