About the Role:
We are looking for the Manager of Culture and Engagement, internally known as Manager, G Force. The role is responsible for fostering and promoting G Adventures culture both internally and externally by communicating who we are and why we do what we do to our staff, partners and travellers. This means making sure all the fun stuff happens at our head office in Toronto, as well as around the world, with a focus on promoting inclusivity and belonging within our community.
Working with the members of G Force, the Leadership Team, and our global network of cultural ambassadors (our True Believers), the Manager, G Force is tasked with being the voice of G Nation, both collecting and disseminating information to engage individuals with G Adventures.
*Please note this is a hybrid role, with some days expected in our Toronto, Canada head office*
What You'll Be Doing:
- Plan and execute G Adventures global and local engagement initiatives in-line with organizational objectives-
- Partner with business units to consult on team and departmental engagement initiatives- Administer and support the implementation of company policies, programs and procedures in collaboration with the other teams that make up the Talent Agency- Lead organization-wide internal strategic communications strategy on behalf of the Talent Agency- Lead global and local events from ideation and conception, through to execution- Activate and manage regional culture and engagement ambassador program (True Believers)- Manage global engagement budget effectively- Evaluate, report and analyze engagement activity for effectiveness and return on investment via engagement and diversity surveying and software- Act as an employer spokesperson both internally and externally-
- Act as an effective, reliable member of the team by demonstrating teamwork and developing internal and external relationships and supporting business improvement initiatives- Manage and coach team members as assigned
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Approximately 5-7 years experience internal communications, employee experience & event management- Related degree/diploma and/or relevant experience preferred- Experience leading/contributing to diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives in the workplace- Experience working with engagement and diversity software- Superior listening/communication skills, both oral and written- Intermediate new media skills: social media community building, video/photo editing, presentation development- Advanced public speaking and facilitation skills- Advanced interpersonal and relationship management skills- A keen listener and problem solver, able to make decisions autonomously- Flexible, Co-operative approach- Confident, relates to people at all levels- Self motivated and goal orientated- Positive and Innovative attitude- Valid Passport with the ability to travel internationally as needed
