**Scope of Position**:
The kitchen staff is responsible for producing meals for residents and guests using production checks and standardized recipes.

**Job Requirements**:
1. Must have a Canadian work permit
2. Must be able to commute (Auberge Plein Soleil, 258 Telegraph Rd, Alfred, ON K0B 1A0)

3. Can work weekends

4. Can speak French.

5.Availability for on-call shifts, including covering one shift per week and filling in for sick or vacation days.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepares meals for residents and guests ensuring dietary needs are met.
- Provides direction and support to the dining services staff.
- Participates as a member of the dining services team and provides support to the other members of the services team.
- Prepares and presents meals and food for special events in a manner that promotes a positive image and reputation to the public at large.
- Complies with all food preparation standards and health and safety requirements.
- Operates and cleans food production equipment and food preparation areas.
- Works safely to reduce the risk of injury to self, co-workers, and residents.
- Is alert to, remedies, and promptly reports all actual or potentially hazardous situations.
- Wears personal protective equipment (or clothing) as required by task, MSDS, or home policy.
- Complies with all levels of legislation.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Disponibilité pour des quarts de travail sur appel, incluant la couverture d'un quart par semaine et le remplacement des congés maladie ou de vacances.

**Responsabilités clés**:

- Prépare les repas pour les résidents et les invités en veillant à ce que leurs besoins alimentaires soient satisfaits.
- Donne des directives et du soutien au personnel des services de restauration.
- Participe en tant que membre de l'équipe des services de restauration et soutient les autres membres de l'équipe de service.
- Prépare et présente les repas et les aliments pour les événements spéciaux de manière à promouvoir une image et une réputation positives auprès du grand public.
- Se conforme à toutes les normes de préparation des aliments et aux exigences en matière de santé et de sécurité.
- Utilise et nettoie les équipements de production alimentaire et les zones de préparation des aliments.
- Travaille de manière sécuritaire pour réduire les risques de blessures pour lui-même, ses collègues et les résidents.
- Est attentif aux situations dangereuses réelles ou potentielles, y remédie et les signale rapidement.
- Porte un équipement de protection individuelle (ou des vêtements) tel que requis par la tâche, la FDS ou la politique de la résidence.
- Se conforme à tous les niveaux de législation.
- Effectue d'autres tâches connexes assignées.
