Responsibilities: The following lists are general responsibilities that may vary from customer to customer.

Quality & Process
- Responsible for working with cross functional departments to establish I/O bitmaps and high quality OLP deliverables from engineering to Integrated Services.
- Required to work with cross function teams to ensure the robot documentation package (Robot Data/Integration Sheets, DCS Sheets, etc) is complete and accurate prior to hand off to Integrated Services.
- Accountable for conducting transitional meetings with Integrated Services to deliver a successful OLP package and supporting OLP/robot issues as necessary during the build phase.
- Identification and dissemination of best practices to other PA disciplines.
- Attendance for all project kick off meetings.

Automation skills
- Extensive knowledge of robot programming and testing automated machinery.
- Strong ability to read controls hardware drawings and mechanical sequence of operations.
- Basic electrical, pipefitting and mechanical building knowledge would be a plus.
- Ability to troubleshoot manifold, water saver and other peripherals and configure them to communicate with the robot.
- Extensive understanding of safe robot concepts ex. DCS for Fanuc.
- Mechanical engineering skills including dynamics and kinematics.

Manufacturing Processes
- Spot Welding, MIG Welding, MH, Seal/Adhesive, Hemming, Laser Welding/Brazing, Nut runner, Vision

Programming skills
- Tool Center Point, User Frame, Configuration, Continuous motion, Motion types, Cartesian coordinates, Knowledge of basic motion programming languages

Robot programming experience on 2 or more different robot controllers, Fanuc and Kuka preferred:

Configuration, setup, troubleshooting and protocol analysis of the following interfaces:
Ethernet-IP
- Produced/Consumed model, CIP messaging, RPI, Generic Ethernet Module, Add-On-Profiles

DeviceNet: Baud rate and effects on network lengths and number of nodes, Routing, critical distances, drop lengths, terminations, etc., Proper bonding and grounding concepts., Using test equipment

ControlNet, Scheduling, Routing, critical distances, drop lengths, terminations, etc.

ProfiNet
- Naming, Node limitations, PN/PN, Network testing, Protocol testing

ProfiBus
- Naming, Node limitations, DP/DP, Network testing, Protocol testing

Additional skills

- Offline Programming on Siemens PS

- Maintain strong lines of communication internally and with the customer
- Create or modify software files as needed
- Work with the simulation department for solutions and to eliminate foreseeable issues
- Ability to run a finished assembly line with mínimal to no help
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally

Education and Experience:

- Community college Diploma or higher, in the field of Automation or Robotics
- Fifteen plus years’ experience in related Robotics Field
