We're looking for a dedicated Support Staff for our Adult Day Program In this role, you'll empower individuals to actively participate in their community, providing valuable support and fostering independence.If you're ready to make a positive impact, we'd love to hear from you **Hours** 24-30 hours (Wednesday to Friday + one additional day) with the opportunity to pick up extra shifts + respite hours We are closed all weekends, major holidays and between Christmas and New Years **Responsibilities**: - Working as part of a team and help encourage a positive and welcoming atmosphere. - Open and/or close the program and prepare necessary materials for the day. - Create and facilitate recreational and life skill programming designed around the support needs of our participants. - Assist participants in daily activities within the program and in the community. - Ensure participant safety and comfort throughout programming. - Maintain clear communication with the rest of the team to help provide consistent support. **Qualifications**: - Post secondary experience in related field (Educational Assistant, Support Worker, etc) - Valid First Aid Certificate (Adult) - Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities - Experience working in a team setting but also comfortable working alone (1 worker to 6 client ratio) - Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills - A Valid "G" Licence is preferred but not required **Job Type**: Part-time Pay: From $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 24 - 30 per week **Benefits**: - Casual dress - On-site parking Flexible language requirement: - French not required Schedule: - Monday to Friday Licence/Certification: - Class G Licence (preferred) - First Aid Certification (required) Work Location: In person
