**Job Type**: Full-Time, On-Site **Reporting to**: Field Support Lead **Location**: Halifax, Nova Scotia **Salary**: $23-27 per hour **Health and Wellness Coverage** **--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------** **Are you a hands-on technician who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is passionate about providing top-notch service to customers?** If you’re ready to make an impact and are excited about working with cutting-edge fiber-optic technology, keep reading—this could be your next opportunity As a **Field Support Technician** at Purple Cow Internet, you will play a critical role in installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications equipment and fiber-optic systems, ensuring customers receive exceptional service. **In order to fulfill the tasks at hand, you’ll need to be highly experienced with this entire stack**: **Installation & Maintenance** - Install and configure fiber-optic systems, equipment, and other telecommunications devices for customers, ensuring high standards for quality and accuracy. - Perform regular maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting of existing systems, addressing and resolving issues efficiently. **Customer Service Excellence** - Provide exceptional customer service by addressing technical concerns and questions, offering clear explanations and ensuring complete satisfaction. - Troubleshoot and repair network issues as needed, delivering solutions that enhance the customer experience. **Collaboration & Team Support** - Work closely with the Field Support Lead and other team members to ensure smooth field operations and high-quality service delivery. - Share knowledge and troubleshooting techniques with colleagues to improve team efficiency and skills. **Quality Assurance & Compliance** - Ensure that all installations and repairs comply with industry standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements. - Strive to meet or exceed customer expectations with each interaction, ensuring quality work and attention to detail. **Documentation & Reporting** - Accurately document all installations, repairs, and customer interactions to contribute to ongoing learning and process improvement. - Maintain detailed records of equipment and service logs to ensure proper tracking of operations. **What We’re Looking For**:* - **Experience**: Proven experience with fiber-optic technology, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. - **Technical Skills**: Strong understanding of telecommunications systems and hands-on experience with routers, modems, switches, and other related equipment. - **Problem-Solving**: Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and find effective solutions quickly and independently. - **Customer Service**: Excellent communication skills with a strong customer-first approach. - **Safety Awareness**: Familiarity with industry safety standards and procedures to ensure safe and compliant work practices. - **Collaboration**: A team player who is eager to share knowledge and work alongside others to achieve operational success. - **Valid Driver’s License**: Willingness to travel locally to customer sites. **Company Profile** Founded in 2019 by two Nova Scotians, Purple Cow Internet offers amazing internet and exceptional customer service for only $60 per month.
