**Seeking PT Personal Care Assistants (East Vancouver**)

I’m an active, independent 30 year old woman with a form of Muscular Dystrophy living in Vancouver close to Renfrew skytrain. I work full time from home, and require assistance for short shifts to support my days.

I’m seeking an awesome assistant to add to my team I need assistance with most aspects of my personal care, meal prep, household chores, cleaning, and other various tasks in order for me to live my life independently. You’d need to be comfortable with my male partner being in the home, and okay with cats.

This is a great job for someone in a medical field, college students, or anyone wanting to gain valuable experience and some extra work on the side of their other work or school.

Prior caregiving experience is valued but not necessary, only the ability to learn quickly and follow directions is needed.

Currently, I am looking to fill a morning shift Monday-Thursday for 3 hours/day, 12 hours/week. It would be a great fit for someone before they go to another job, classes or commitments in their day The start time is a bit flexible and can be based around both our schedules.

Because the care involves close personal contact with a high risk individual we do require covid 19 vaccinations for this position.

**Requirements**:
This is a physically demanding position and requires hand, arm, and shoulder dexterity, walking, standing, bending, reaching and frequent positional changing.

Must be:

- Comfortable with personal care including Hoyer lifts and transfers, bowel care, showering and toileting.
- Strong communication skills
- Able to follow directions
- Must be punctual and reliable (sick days must be rare, though occasionally swapping in advance shifts is okay)
- Preferably non smoker

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $30.00 per hour
