Niche Decor — a leading interior design firm and furniture showroom in Newmarket, ON — is looking for a Showroom Sales Associate to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who loves connecting with clients, thrives in a design-driven environment, and takes pride in maintaining a stunning retail space.

We’re looking for a confident, organized individual who can take ownership of the showroom — ensuring every client visit feels personal, every display is beautifully styled, and every sales opportunity is followed through with care.

**What You’ll Do**:

- Welcome and assist walk-in clients with home furnishings and decor selections.
- Provide knowledgeable, design-focused guidance to help clients achieve their vision.
- Manage client follow-ups — from sourcing updates to after-sale communication.
- Style, merchandise, and maintain showroom displays to ensure a curated, elevated presentation.
- Keep pricing tags and product details up to date.
- Process sales transactions and administrative tasks with accuracy.
- Keep resource library updated and organized.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the showroom, often working independently.
- Manage high school co-op students with tasks assigned throughout showroom (seasonal).
- Collaborate with the Niche Decor design team to ensure brand consistency and an exceptional client experience.

**Who You Are**:

- A natural salesperson with 3+ years of sales experience (home decor or furniture experience is a strong asset).
- An Interior Decorator or graduate of an interior decorating program.
- Highly organized, efficient with follow-ups, and detail-oriented.
- Confident working independently and taking responsibility for showroom operations.
- A strong communicator with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Creative, with an eye for design and merchandising.
- Comfortable lifting and moving items up to 50 lbs.

**Schedule**:

- Part-time position (3-4 consecutive days per week including weekends).
- Must be available for weekends.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 32 per week

- Newmarket, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Home Decor Sales: 3 years (preferred)
- Customer Service: 3 years (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)
