We are seeking a reliable and experienced construction Surveyor/Grade Person for projects throughout Northwestern and Northeastern Ontario. Our projects include road construction, structure replacements, lot and site development, pit and quarry operations, large volume earth and rock moving and surface mining.

**Responsibilities**
- Perform survey layouts and staking
- Perform topographic surveys
- Perform quantity calculations
- Perform as-builts of completed work
- Interpret engineering drawings
- Measure and record field data with a high level of detail and accuracy
- Communicate effectively with employees to ensure everyone is aware of the task(s) to be performed
- Compile and organize data
- Prepare progress reports
- Communicate effectively with Supervisors and Project Managers daily to update on job scheduling and progress
- Responsible for safe operation of tools, vehicles and equipment
- Perform all tasks within Federal and Provincial Labour Laws, as well as company rules
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**
- Have a minimum of 2 years of relevant field experience
- AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is considered an asset
- Experience on Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) projects is considered an asset
- Experience working in a mine setting is considered an asset
- Must be able to travel out of town for work
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Possess a high degree of problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Excellent communications skills, both written and oral
- Able to work with little supervision
- Valid Canadian driver’s license
