**As an Applications Analyst I, YOU WILL**:

- Work with users to develop solutions to business problems and improve processes, including analysis of the requests to determine justification, magnitude of change, and user priority
- Develop viable designs to facilitate program development and ease of future modifications
- Create or modify solutions in an efficient manner in compliance with department standards
- Develop and execute a test plan to ensure the product is delivered with a high degree of quality
- Prepare implementation plan including user training, file conversion, job turnover, operator documentation, and a back out plan
- Meet project implementation schedules as required to satisfy business requirements
- Manage small IT projects including developing project plans and conducting project reporting with mínimal supervision
- Keep abreast of new software and hardware tools and techniques and recommend their adoption to IT management
- Ensure user and IT documentation are developed in compliance with Emerson standards
- Complete special projects as assigned
- Contribute to a positive, open working environment and promote teamwork and cooperation
- Consistently demonstrate a high level of integrity and professionalism

**REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCES & SKILLS**:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or Business or equivalent experience
- 2-6 years of IT support, development, or analytical experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analysis and problem-solving skills
- Good organizational and planning skills
- Experience working with relational data and writing SQL scripts

**PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCES & SKILLS**
- APICS certification
- IT SUpport experience
- Experience in a manufacturing or distribution business environment
- Experience with a multi-level IT structure (plant/business-unit/group/corporate)
- Software: Windows 10, MS Office 365\One Drive\Sharepoint, Domo, Power BI, Excel Power Pivot, IBM i, JD Edwards World, Varsity Shipper
- Languages: C, C#,.net, VB6, Visual Basic, SQL, RPG, CL
- Databases: MS SQL Server, MySQL, Progress, Oracle, DB/400

**Schedule**

We offer the flexibility of a core hour work schedule. Employees can flex their start and stop times given they are working during the core hours of 9:00am - 3:00pm. Our teams work together to ensure their chosen work schedules are supporting our customers. This role has mínimal travel requirements of less than 10% of its time.
