Westrich Pacific Corp is an innovative Western Canadian Developer specializing in concrete condominiums and mixed use developments. We are looking for a Jr. CSO to join our Construction team. The CSO will report to the Safety Manager, and work with Project Managers, Site Supervisors, and Site Operatives in coordination and administration activities regarding site safety and hazard prevention.

This position will be 80% field and 20% field office and may require travel to multiple sites within Edmonton.
- Assist, advise and work with manager(s) and supervisors with
- Hazard identification and control
- Inspections/Audits
- Investigations
- Reports
- Orientations
- Training
- Ensure all required site Health & Safety policies, procedures and personnel are in place and adhered to
- Take corrective action where required to ensure safety for all and protection of the environment
- Advise the Health Safety & Environment (HSE) activities as it relates to planning, procurement, construction and commissioning.
- Develop and implement Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and Safe Work Procedures specific to the site
- Monitor and evaluate employees and sub-contractors for compliance with General Contractor Safety Requirements and Company Safety Policies and Procedures
- This position will be Monday-Friday.
- We are looking for an outgoing person with experience in construction.

**Skills and Abilities**:

- Working knowledge of related legislation and the ability to interpret the regulations and laws
- Ability to work with limited supervision, in a team environment with great attention to detail
- The capacity to problem solve and thrive in high-pressure situations
- Ability to influence staff at various levels to promote loss prevention
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Proficient user of MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience with SiteDocs is an asset.

- Standard First Aid

**Requirements for this position would be**:

- Active NCSO
- 1-3 years of experience
- A background in construction
- Class 5 Drivers License
