**Position Title**: Material Handler (NOC 7452)

**Main functions**:To handle, move, load, and unload materials to designated areas with in accordance of Standard Manufacturers Services Ltd’s Goods & Services policies and procedures.

**Duties**:

- Load and unload materials using a forklift or hand jack.
- Remove materials for pick up such as: aluminum shredding material, oil drums etc.
- Sorting and packaging of materials for processing.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure delivery of materials is met for production schedules.
- Establish productive working relationships with all departments.
- Report any material issues that might effect production.
- Support Standard Manufacturers Services Ltd’s Lean initiative.
- Any other duties that maybe assigned.

**Working conditions**:

- Works 5 days a week, Monday to Friday, 8 1/2 hours per day.
- The Material Handler is entitled to ½ hour of unpaid time for lunch.
- The Material Handler is frequently exposed to noise and a regular flow of people through the department.
- The Material Handler frequently changing priorities.
- The Material Handler maybe required to work overtime, with paid compensation.
- The Material Handler must be organized and must be able to coordinate with different departments.

**Employment Requirements**:

- Completion of high school is required.
- Driver’s license may be required.
- Forklift License required.
- WHMIS Certification
