Full professional competence in both of Canada’s official languages is required - all staff at Cooperation Canada are bilingual and meetings are routinely held in both languages. This will be tested during the recruitment.
ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION
Who is the Membership Liaison?
The Membership Liaison works closely with the Director of Membership and Outreach to engage members and help grow and retain members. They provide support with coordination, logistics, and administration for members. This role involves managing member communications, meetings, and relationship-building efforts. The Membership Liaison is the main contact for Cooperation Canada members, ensuring they have meaningful opportunities to connect and participate. They help strengthen relationships and coordinate activities across the organization’s programs.
You are interested in this role because you have experience working with members and you enjoy engaging with members. You also are knowledgeable about the Canadian international NGO community and its challenges. You have strong organizational and time management skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure while working independently and collaboratively. You are comfortable using AI tools for administrative tasks. You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to anti-racism, social justice, and equity, and demonstrate good judgment and discretion when handling confidential information. Proficient in administrative practices, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, virtual meeting platforms, and expense management, you are known for your strong attention to detail and analytical abilities.
- At least three to four years of relevant experience working with members, matched with some post-secondary education in relevant field(s), or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated experience in fostering member engagement and network coordination.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with diverse member organizations across Canada.
- Strong interpersonal skills, commitment to anti-racism, equity, diversity, inclusion, and justice.
- Functionally bilingual in English and French.

L'agent-e de liaison avec les membres travaille en étroite collaboration avec le directeur des adhésions et de l'engagement pour mobiliser les membres et contribuer à leur croissance et à leur fidélisation. Il/Elle apporte un soutien aux membres en matière de coordination, de logistique et d'administration. Ce rôle implique la gestion des communications avec les membres, des réunions et des efforts de renforcement des relations. L'agent-e de liaison avec les membres est le/la principal-e interlocuteur-trice des membres de Coopération Canada, il/elle s'assure qu'ils/elles ont des possibilités significatives de se connecter et de participer. Il/Elle contribue à renforcer les relations et à coordonner les activités dans l'ensemble des programmes de l'organisation.
Vous êtes intéressé-e par ce poste parce que vous avez de l'expérience dans le travail avec les membres et que vous aimez interagir avec eux/elles. Vous connaissez également la communauté des ONG internationales canadiennes et ses défis. Vous avez de solides compétences en matière d'organisation et de gestion du temps, et vous êtes capable de gérer plusieurs tâches sous pression tout en travaillant de manière indépendante et collaborative. Vous êtes à l'aise avec les outils d'IA pour les tâches administratives. Vous possédez d'excellentes compétences en communication et en relations interpersonnelles, vous êtes engagé-e dans la lutte contre le racisme, la justice sociale et l'équité, et vous faites preuve de jugement et de discrétion dans le traitement des informations confidentielles. Maîtrisant les pratiques administratives, notamment le traitement de texte, les tableurs, les bases de données, les plateformes de réunion virtuelle et la gestion des dépenses, vous êtes reconnu-e pour votre grand souci du détail et vos capacités d'analyse.
