Silver Cove is Canada’s largest mineral and gem company. We do everything from retail store front to live online sales and we even host our own trade show events. This is a fast-paced and high energy environment that will be sure to keep you on your toes.

Store Sales Associates work in their allotted storefront and are part of our sales division. Associates work within the store, building displays, serving customers, operating tills, and preparing merchandise for sale. Sales Associates must maintain excellent customer service, develop an extensive knowledge of the products Silver Cove carries, multitask, and work as a team for high quality service and effectiveness.

This position reports to Store Manager

**Responsibilities**:

- Greet Customers upon entry, answer questions, and respond to requests and complaints
- Ensure proper signage and displays are maintained and current
- Basic cleaning of all store areas and regular sanitization of high traffic areas within the store
- Prioritize customer satisfaction through excellent customer service while maintaining an upbeat and positive attitude
- Processes retail and wholesale sales and accepting payments of cash, credit, and debit cards
- Ensure accurate end of day reporting and paperwork including balancing the till
- Be knowledgeable in all current sales, promotions, and events and actively promote to customers
- Operate office equipment including but not limited to computers, scanners, printers, photocopiers, label makers & phone
- Ensure adherence to operating and security procedures at all times
- Work at local events representing Silver Cove including Rock N’ Gem Shows, markets, & trade shows
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

**Work Hours and Benefits**:
Part-time position

Must be available for weekend shifts

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to multi-task, while being attentive to customers and remaining flexible to the needs of the business
- Maintain a high attention to detail and be knowledgeable of all products offered
- The ability to lift and carry 25lbs unassisted and higher weights as a team with proper equipment
- Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars, and educational opportunities
- Must be self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously
- Previous retail experience considered an asset

Part-time hours: 12-18 per week
