The Finance Co-op will be responsible for assisting in the implementation of financial models and accounting concepts or techniques for financial planning and control. Additional responsibilities will include regular analysis and reconciliation of major general ledger accounts and the preparation of journal entries consistent with accounting principles. The Finance Co-Op will also be required to assist in the entry of Accounts Payable as necessary to cover overflow during peak periods.

**SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED**

**Skills**:

- Intermediate written and verbal communication skills
- Intermediate MS Office skills (Advanced skills not required, but considered an asset)
- Advanced time management skills and the ability to manage multiple competing deadlines
- Intermediate analytical skills to reconcile account balances
- Ability to approach and solve moderately complex problems related to financial reporting

Knowledge/Education:

- Enrolment in a post-secondary degree in Business or Accounting or equivalent
- Working towards a CPA designation is preferred
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and reporting requirements (IFRS)
- Basic knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety requirements as it relates to individual, organizational, and operational requirements.

Previous Experience:

- None required, but some experience related to financial reporting considered an asset.
